MR Geared Traction Machine
Traction (Geared) elevators are standard elevators. The electric motor in this design drives a gear type reduction unit, which tums the motor main sheave, and an electrically controlled brak ebetween the motor and the reduction unit stops the elevator and holds the elevator cabin at the desired floor level.
MRL Gearless Machine
MRL (Gearless) elevator motors are not fixed in the machine room.This type of elevator motors are fixed sticks the motor permanent and work with VVVF drive.This MRL design elevator eliminates the need inside the hoistway of the elevator shaft. The MRL motors are installed using permanent magnet which of a machine roomand saves much building’s space.All the MRL elevators arecommonly called gearless traction.
Hydraulic Machine
Hydraulic Elevators are powered by apiston that travels inside acylinder. An electric motor pumps oil in to the cylinder to move the piston. The piston smoothly lifts the elevator cab. Electrical valves control the release of the oil for a gentle descent.The elevators are usedextensively in building up to four or five stories high and canbe easily accommodated in the existing building and donot take up much over head.
